报告摘要:

Reliable coded caching will become highly desirable in noisy wireless environment. In this paper, we propose a new framework to transform the reliable coded caching design into an error control coding design problem. Firstly, we show how to interpret the coded caching design from coding perspective. It is shown that, when the cached and non-cached contents in placement phase are thought of as the shortened system packets and the punctured system packets, respectively, while those coded contents transmitted in delivery phase correspond to the parity packets, the reliable coded caching design can be reformulated as a code-on-graph design problem. Secondly, the challenges of the reliable coded caching design for arbitrary user requests and noncooperative decoding nature at every user will be highlighted to address the design criteria in order to realize the coding gain residing in the coded caching. Our analysis unveils that, with some supplementary parity packets included in either the placement phase or the delivery phase of the reliable coded caching scheme, noticeable transmission reliability improvement can be realized. It is shown that the proposed reliable coded caching scheme is able to flexibly fulfill the reliable transmission requirement of asymmetric coded caching environment by placing or transmitting some supplementary parity packets only for those users in adverse conditions. Finally, it is shown that the proposed reliable coded caching and the traditional channel coding can be easily integrated into the joint network-channel coding (JNCC) framework to fully exploit the benefit of both the channel coding and the reliable coded caching.

报告人简介:

陈庆春,男,博士、教授、博士生导师,广州大学信息与通信工程一级学科学科带头人,IEEE高级会员,IEEE Access副编辑,中国电子学会信息论分会委员,教育部新世纪优秀人才,美国哈佛大学访问学者(博士后),教育部霍英东教育基金优选资助获得者,曾获得教育部自然科学奖二等奖,2016年IEEE Globecom最佳论文奖。1994年7月毕业于重庆大学自动控制专业获得学士学位,1997年7月毕业于重庆大学模式识别与智能控制专业获得硕士学位,2004年3月毕业于西南交通大学交通信息工程及控制专业获得工学博士学位,学位论文获得2005年四川省优秀博士学位论文奖。2004年7月至2018年2月在西南交通大学工作,先后任副教授、教授、博士生导师。2018年3月起在广州大学机械与电气工程学院工作至今,任教授、博导,广州大学声光视讯技术研究所副所长。近5年在IEEE等国际期刊和IEEE顶级学术会议发表论文50余篇,申请中国发明专利20余项。主要研究方向为信息论与编码,无线通信网络,计算存储通信技术等。
